Planning our wedding was an incredible and unexpected journey for me. I’d always believed marriage wasn’t in the cards, and I never envisioned a wedding or dreamed about my dress as a little girl. But honestly, that made the experience even more special. With no preconceived ideas, everything felt
fresh and personal—especially since I hit the soulmate jackpot with Jamie. My “vision” only began to exist the moment he was in it.

Jamie and I first crossed paths at Shepherd University, where we met in a classic, small-town way—I was a cheerleader, and he was a football player. Even though he’s younger than me, we knew of each other long before we ever became a couple.

As an artist, I’ve spent years designing meaningful details for other couples—everything from invitations and signs to place cards and custom art. But channeling that creativity into our own wedding felt deeply personal and challenging because of the emotions tied to it. Every detail mattered, and I poured my heart into making it uniquely ours.

There was just one non-negotiable: our beloved dog, Mia, had to be there.
