A Path to Recovery: Inside Noah’s House’s Mission and Community Work

Article Written By Rylie Gordon

Located in the center of Franklin County, Noah’s House Inc. is a recovery-based agency dedicated to helping men and women overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. Founded by John Lloyd and Drew Reed, both of whom are in long-term recovery, Noah’s House was established because of the desire to provide others with what they received through transformation and healing. The agency has two recovery transitional homes, Gracie’s Place and Noah’s House. They both provide a structured, supervised living environment where the client can focus on their recovery.

At the center of Noah’s House is the belief that recovery is within reach for all individuals. The agency offers individualized roads to recovery, engaging each individual where he or she is along the journey. Their principles of honesty, courage, and faith create a community that promotes long-term success, hope, and a feeling of new direction.

The most notable feature of Noah’s House is its 24/7 Virtual Recovery Support Services. Under these services, support is made available at any time, especially during times of vulnerability. Developed mainly during the pandemic, these virtual services have become a cornerstone of the recovery process and are still being developed to meet growing demand for convenient, flexible treatment.
Outside of residential and online support, Noah’s House continues to be involved in the community through various endeavors. They hold the Home Run Derby, a charity event and competition that generates awareness and support for addiction recovery, every fall with the help of Verstandig Media. In 2022 alone, the event generated more than $40,000, which went straight into the organization’s programs and residents.

There are a variety of ways in which the public can become involved and make a valuable difference. Volunteering is a rewarding experience for those individuals who wish to come in contact directly with residents through friendship, mentorship, or simply being an ear to listen. Corporate and individual fundraising events are always welcome and go towards the development of the organization’s mission. They are also accepting meal donations through the Meal Train for the residents. For those who shop online, it can be as simple as selecting Noah’s House as your charity through Amazon Smile. Regardless of the size of the donation, they all count towards the fulfillment of the mission of Noah’s House, helping people establish a solid foundation for life after addiction. The charity continues to grow and be a source of hope for those who are finding it hard to break the cycle of drug or alcohol addiction.

To be involved in such a life-changing project, volunteer, donate, or visit one of their community events. Your donation can change the life of someone in recovery.
